Welcome to the SeaGen Wales website where you can find information on the proposed Anglesy Skerries Tidal Array project.
Sea Generation (Wales) Ltd is established under Marine Current Turbines as a development company. A Siemens Business (MCT) is planning to build a tidal current array just near to the North West coast of Anglesey which is also referred to as the Anglesey Skerries Tidal Array (ASTA).
MCT is recognised as being one of the world’s leading tidal energy developers. It has developed the SeaGen tidal energy converter and in April 2008, installed the SeaGen S 1.2MW tidal turbine in Strangford Lough, Northern Ireland. More details about SeaGen Tech and MCT is available at Marine Current Turbines and Sea Generation websites.
Sea Generation Ltd is under the ownership of MCT, which itself is a property of Siemens AG and becomes a part of its Hydro & Ocean Business.
